Western NM Telephone Company, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team. In this role, you will manage complex telecom- specific revenue cycles, regulatory compliance, and general ledger operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership abilities, advanced technical data expertise, and a deep understanding of regulated and standard accounting principles. Role Overview  Department: Accounting  Employment Type: Full-Time  Location: Silver City, NM  Reports To: Controller Core Responsibilities  Financial Management & Closing  Telecom Part 32 Accounting  Team Leadership & Controls Role Requirements Education & Experience  Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.  General Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.  Industry Experience: 2+ years of accounting management experience within the telecommunications sector preferred. Technical & Soft Skills  Software: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and pivot tables.  Systems: Hands-on experience with ERP software like MACC, SAP, or QuickBooks Online.  Regulations: Strong knowledge of FCC Part 32 and GAAP revenue recognition rules.  Communication: Clear ability to translate complex financial concepts to executive leadership.
