Join our team, and help us shape the future of anime! In the role of Accounting Director , you will report to the Senior Director, Rest of World (ROW) Accounting. We are considering applicants for the location of Mexico. The Accounting Director is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of our entity located in Mexico, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements (Local GAAP and IFRS ), and global policies. This role is a key business partner of the global team ( Consolidation, GBS (AP), Tax, Procurement, T&E, HR teams), local third party advisors. This is a new role in charge of a new entity. Core Areas of Responsibility Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, trending analysis. Ensure compliance with Local GAAP/IFRS and local tax, regulatory requirements, SOX controls. Manage general ledger accuracy and reconciliation processes. Oversee local tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting and liaise with global accounting teams (consolidation, tax). Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets. Accounting Operations Prepare and post journal entries in Netsuite Prepares treasury activities (account reconciliation, posting, approval, excess of  cash, request of fundings). Calculates transfer pricing and processes invoicing, intercompany reconciliation Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes regarding mainly accounts payables, accounts receivable, payroll, royalties. Monitor cash flow and financial transactions, approve payments and ensure payments in a timely manner of Payroll, taxes, licensors, third parties.. Manage Fixed Asset  Audit & Risk Management Coordinate internal and external audits. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies. Leadership Solve accounts payables, receivable, payroll once escalated Solve escalated challenges raised by internal* or external customers, third parties. (*internal customer such as HR working with Cloudpay on payslips) Follow any IT, Netsuite tickets Act as the primary conduit for Mexico accounting activities, tracking deliverables, escalating issues as needed, and ensuring successful execution across supporting teams. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Partner with the local General Manager, Administrative Management team, and regional subject matter experts to support operational, compliance, and business-related requests impacting the Mexico entity. Financial Analysis & Strategic Support Provide financial analysis to support business decisions, global teams. Assist any business partner with budgeting and forecasting processes. Collaborate with senior management on financial planning initiatives. Support cost control and efficiency improvements.
