JOB SUMMARY The  Accounting  Clerk will be  responsible   for executing   day-to-day   accounting   tasks and financial activities including but not limited to payroll, bank, revenue, and   expenses   reconciliations, report generation, A/R and supporting   budget   and month   end   activities according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares, develops and maintains timely and accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual financial reports, logs and statements • Assist with daily and monthly entries from contracts, work orders and invoices • Perform data entry, general ledger postings, balancing and reconciliation • Reconcile deposits for bank(s) as needed • Verifies account balances by reconciling monthly statements • Provide full A/R cross-functional support to  the  Accounting Department • Provides accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to all accounting functions in accordance with records retention policies and procedures • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential • Performs other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: An Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or at least 2 years college level accounting course work. EXPERIENCE:  4-6 years of general accounting and/or accounts receivables work experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES FOR THIS POSITION: • Quick Books Experience Preferred • Previous A/R Experience including invoicing and collections • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel • Ability to learn and operate computerized accounting programs • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality • Excellent data entry skills • Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving. and decision making skills • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills • Effective organizational, stress and time management skills • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently or as a team member • Consistently interacts positively with internal and external customers • Ability to sit at a desk in front of a computer for extended periods of time • Ability to prepare and carry boxes containing financial records
