The position of Accountant, Accounts Receivable is part of the Order to Cash service line of Group BIC Services, in Sofia , Bulgaria . This position has to ensure timely and effective Accounts Receivable management in line with internal procedures: Responsible for daily processing of incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures Responsible for daily follows up with customers to ensure effective and on-time cash collection of receivables The role requires understanding of Accounts Receivable processes and high engagement with various departments & stakeholders. Key accountabilities: Process payments: perform payment booking with invoice matching, customer deductions and/or advances Cash collection: regular follow-up (reminders, phone calls) with customers/Commercial Unit to ensure effective and on-time collection of receivables Accounts reconciliation Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in accounts receivable & collection processes Participating in local meetings Act as key subject matter expert regarding specific country processes & customer specifics. Contact customers on appropriate communication channel (phone, e-mail, chat, …) as needed Continuous improvement: identify, propose and implement development activities to improve performance on a continuous basis Knowledge, skills and experience: High school degree (University education is desired) 1-2 year of experience in a Shared Services environment for a global company is required 3-5 year of experience for a global company is a plus Advanced English and Greek Exposure to ERPs; JDE is a plus Good communication skills Customer service orientation and attention to details BIC World is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
