Job Description
Reports to: Edmonton PC Manager, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the National Cable Specialists Regional Sales Manager.
Key Accountabilities
(65%) Consistently exceed customer expectations when processing orders and answering technical questions while offering value added solutions to each customer exchange;
(20%) Aggressively and consistently research new business opportunities and market NCS products and services to new potential clients; Including in person customer engagement
(10%) Conduct market research of products and pricing for the purpose of promoting new products;
(5%) Work cooperatively with teammates in the administration of sales transactions.
Duties
• Contacts current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and/or new products
• Responds to and processes incoming calls and orders
• Opens new accounts and maintains existing customer base
• Enters orders into system and liaises with operations and purchasing teams through the process
• Maintains knowledge base on current products and learns about new products
• Provides pricing quotations and follows-up on quotes
• Provides basic technical support on products
• Builds strong relationships for repeat opportunities
Requirements:
• Post-Secondary education
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Previous Sales/Inside Sales experience is highly beneficial
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop long-term client relationships
• A highly professional approach to business
• Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
• Technically proficient to quickly learn and understand products
• Ability to develop quotations & project bid packaging / pricing / presentations
• Knowledge of electrical industry in general is an asset
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and a sense of team spirit
