Our client is a well-established international distributor serving various industries and is looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to support continued growth across Southern Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where you'll have the autonomy to manage key customer relationships while contributing to business expansion.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of industrial customers, ensuring exceptional service while identifying opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen strategic partnerships.
This is a remote/hybrid position, with candidates ideally located within commuting distance of Munich to support customer visits across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow an existing portfolio of industrial customers.
Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision makers.
Identify opportunities to increase sales across existing accounts.
Work closely with internal sales, product management and supply chain teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements and manage contract renewals.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
About You
You'll be a commercially focused Account Manager who understands the independent distribution market and enjoys building trusted customer relationships.
You'll ideally have:
Proven experience in Account Management, Territory Sales or Business Development.
Experience selling components or technical solutions.
Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills.
The ability to manage multiple customer accounts while identifying growth opportunities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive and customer-focused approach.
Fluent German and professional English language skills.
A full driving licence and willingness to travel within Southern Germany.
