University of California, Irvine is hiring an Academic HR Analyst. The role involves managing all academic HR functions within the Departments of Family Medicine and Radiation Oncology, including handling recruitment, appointments, promotions, employee relations, and compliance with academic personnel policies. The analyst advises department chairs and administrators on personnel matters and oversees full-time and part-time faculty appointments and renewals. Highlights • Manage academic HR functions such as recruitment, appointments, promotions, grievances, layoffs, and union issues. • Advise department chairs, administrators, and faculty on Academic Personnel concerns. • Ensure compliance with UC Academic Personnel policies and procedures. • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio. • Develop and implement training programs and deliver presentations. • Requires extensive interpersonal skills and experience handling confidential information. • Minimum of 5 years experience with a B.A. or B.S. in personnel administration or equivalent education/experience. • Preferred knowledge of UC Human Resources policies, Equal Opportunity and Diversity initiatives, and international hiring processes. • Salary range: $79,200 to $143,400 per year. • Supports Departments of Family Medicine and Radiation Oncology within UCI's School of Medicine.
