Position Summary:  The Prek Teacher Assistant (TA) at Belmont Charter Academy is responsible for supporting students’ school success by working collaboratively with building educators. The ideal applicant is a highly motivated, energetic, and mission-aligned individual interested in providing high-quality, engaging care for students across a variety of settings, including the classroom, the lunchroom, recess, and one-on-one support. This is a 10-month position that is supervised by a member of the school leadership team in partnership with the lead teacher. Core Responsibilities:   Execute small and whole group learning using the required curriculum  Actively manage and engage students in a variety of settings, including recess, lunch, classroom, arrival, and dismissal.  Proactively support students who are struggling behaviorally using trauma-informed practices and Responsive Classroom (all staff members are given professional development around the above)  Track student progress and maintain student data Ensure a safe, joyful, welcoming, and clean school environment Proactively communicate and collaborate with the lead classroom teacher on best instructional practices to maximize student progress  Additional Responsibilities: Attend school-based or network-level professional development sessions as assigned by supervisor Attend school-wide meetings Support OST programs as assigned by the supervisor Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Education and Experience:  CDA, Associate's, or B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution Experience working with children  All employees must be able to provide a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Fed
