Experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant skilled in personalised student support and individualised learning strategies 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Shrewsbury Duration: Full time, on going Salary: £85 – £95 per day The School/role: An amazing special needs school in Shrewsbury are currently looking for a fulltime 1:1 SEN teaching assistant. The school is a community special school with students with cognition and learning difficulties in addition to physical disabilities and complex health needs. The ideal candidate for a SEN TA role should: • Demonstrate experience or a strong interest in supporting children with SEN • Possess prior experience collaborating within the SEN Department • Exhibit flexibility, proactivity, and patience • Show nurturing and compassionate qualities in their approaches • Communicate effectively within a team A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service. Requirements: • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background • PECS and Makaton training/experience • ASD, SLD, Complex needs – Non verbal needs experience • Level 1 safeguarding certificate • Recent school based references • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport • Full DBS – on the update service
