PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of the Warehouse Assistant I role is to support the receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of equipment, parts, and vendor components within the Product Services warehouse. This position ensures materials are handled, documented, and stored in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. The Warehouse Assistant I maintains accurate inventory records, documents the condition of incoming materials, and ensures proper segregation of inventory such as critical spare parts and unserviceable equipment. The role collaborates with manufacturing facilities, Field Service personnel, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure materials moving through the warehouse and in transit are properly tracked and accounted for. This position also supports warehouse operational improvements and assists with maintaining procedures related to warehouse operations and the Field Service Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive, store, issue, and ship parts and equipment while ensuring inventory records are updated and material condition is documented.
Maintain proper storage and handling of equipment and materials to prevent damage and maintain inventory integrity.
Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions related to warehouse operations, inventory management, and barcode scanning.
Maintain documentation for parts and equipment stored in the warehouse or in transit to ensure accountability of materials.
Maintain accountability for Field Service testing equipment within the IAD Center of Excellence in accordance with established procedures.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to receive, store, ship, and track materials.
Assist in supporting Field Service inventory activities, including warehouse organization and inventory counts.
Provide recommendations to improve warehouse operations and assist in the development of warehouse policies and procedures.
Deploy to Field Service locations when needed to support warehouse setup, inventory activities, or operational improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse operations or inventory handling.
Experience using inventory management systems to track materials and maintain inventory records.
