ABOUT THE ROLE You’ll support fast-growing U.S. companies and CPA firms as a Philippines-based US Accountant — driving both accuracy and clarity. Full-time IC with exclusivity. No other engagements after hire. You see accounting as a system: inputs tidy, flows efficient, outputs decision-ready. You’ll own the close, stitch together AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations, then ship reporting that blends variance insight with plain-English commentary. Along the way you’ll standardize checklists, codify playbooks, and turn “oops” into automation. If you like turning chaos into order and insights into action — welcome. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - You’ve closed books for U.S. entities and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision - You balance precision with practicality — you know when to dive deep and when to move fast - You enjoy creating order (SOPs, templates, checklists) and love clean ledgers and tidy reconciliations - You’re tech-curious and look for ways to automate routine work and reduce errors - You build trust with clients through consistent delivery, transparency, and simple explanations WHAT YOU’LL OWN Financial Reporting Your reports tell a story leaders can act on. - Prepare timely balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash-flow statements with variance analysis and plain-English insights - Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for SMB clients - Join standing client calls, translate financials into plain English, and proactively flag risks and opportunities Books & Reconciliations Precision is your baseline, not your ceiling. - Manage the books end-to-end: AP/AR, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and the general ledger - Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate and clear discrepancies - Run payroll accurately: calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings; coordinate approvals; ensure on-time processing - Maintain organized, audit-ready files and strong documentation across periods and entities Process & Systems Build the playbooks. Be the one who turns chaos into clarity. - Standardize checklists, close calendars, and SOPs; suggest tech automations (rules, workflows, integrations) - Maintain data quality and controls — every file clean, every period documented, every record audit-ready WHAT YOU’LL BRING - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline - 2+ years of U.S. accounting/bookkeeping experience (public practice or industry) - QuickBooks Online proficiency — required, with clean documented workflows - Strong English communication — written, spoken, and client-facing; service-oriented mindset - Experienced CPA or non-CPA — both are welcome here - Ownership mentality: organized, deadline-driven, managing multiple clients without sacrificing accuracy - Comfortable working U.S. business hours (night shift, PH-based) Preferred (nice to have): - Xero, Bill.com http://Bill.com (or similar AP/AR automation) - G-Suite/Excel (pivot tables, lookups), and basic reporting/BI tools HOW WE WORK Quality: Close checklists, review notes, and documentation are part of every engagement Security: Best practices for data privacy, MFA, and least-privilege access — always Collaboration: Slack/Zoom standups, shared t
