Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).
Echodyne is seeking a TEST ENGINEER II to focus on off-radar software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, execute, and maintain software test scenarios for complex web-based applications and APIs
Analyze product requirements and architecture to contribute to test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria for our user interfaces and backend services
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports; manage defects through resolution
Perform manual UI and API testing, as well as exploratory testing, to identify product risks, edge cases, and failure modes
Build and maintain automated tests where they provide clear value, contributing to existing frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Selenium
Collaborate with software development, product, and firmware teams to improve testability and overall quality
Support test environments, automation infrastructure, and test execution across projects and releases
Promote strong testing practices and a quality-first mindset, participating in peer reviews and knowledge sharing
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or test engineering roles, with a focus on web applications and RESTful APIs
Experience validating feature-level behavior and cross-component workflows
Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and test design techniques
Experience with UI and API test automation, including writing and maintaining automated tests (Python preferred)
Experience working in environments with hardware and software dependencies
Practical knowledge of Linux environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts
Understanding of software development practices, defect investigation, and root cause analysis

WHAT WE OFFER
This is an exempt role. The expected annual salary range for this role is $114,330 — $170,980 USD If your skills generally align but not perfectly, please apply anyway. There may be another role that’s a great fit for you!
