Technical Project Manager 2 – Nuclear Construction Compa Industries is seeking qualified candidates for a **Technical Project Manager 2** position supporting Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM. **Salary:** $68/hr – $78/hr **Location:** 100% Onsite – Los Alamos, NM (TA-55) **Schedule:** 4/10s; schedule may be adjusted to align with field installation activities **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship Required **Clearance:** Active DOE Q Clearance Required **Assignment Duration:** Up to 5 years **Extension/Conversion:** Yes **On-Call/Overtime:** Yes **Travel:** As needed based on project assignment **Per Diem/Relocation:** Not available ## 🚫 Mandatory Experience Requirement – Read Before Applying Applicants must meet all requirements below or will not be considered: * Active DOE Q Clearance * Direct experience managing project or construction activities in a DOE, NNSA, NRC, or comparable Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility * Experience working under strict nuclear security, classification, and controlled-information requirements * Experience supporting demolition and decontamination, construction, testing, commissioning, or turnover activities * Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite at TA-55 Candidates without an active Q Clearance or direct nuclear-facility project and construction experience will not be considered. ## Impact The Technical Project Manager 2 plays a critical role in delivering mission-essential construction and facility modernization projects within a DOE Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility. You will manage technical construction scope from planning through field execution, testing, turnover, and closeout while coordinating closely with construction, operations, engineering, project controls, safety, security, quality, and facility support organizations. This position supports the 30B, 30R, PEI2, and MIE Non-Diamond project scopes within the ALDPI / PI-PROJ / LIP / Late Installs organization. ## Key Responsibilities * Manage assigned technical construction scope from initiation through turnover and closeout * Define and manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, milestones, risks, and performance objectives * Support and lead multidisciplinary project teams during planning, field execution, testing, and turnover * Organize project activities into control accounts and corresponding work packages * Manage project activities in alignment with Triad’s prime contract and DOE Order 413.3B requirements * Monitor project cost, schedule, scope, risk, and work-package performance * Identify project constraints, execution issues, and performance concerns and implement corrective actions * Coordinate activities among construction, operations, engineering, project controls, subcontractors, and support organizations * Support construction readiness reviews, work releases, system testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout * Develop project reports, procedures, presentations, meeting records, and performance updates * Provide technical and operational guidance to project personnel and matrixed resources * Ensure compliance with DOE, NNSA, LANL, NQA-1, nuclear safety, security, classification, and quality requirements * Coordinate with radiological control, criticality safety, nuclear safety, occupational safety, work control, and quality assurance personnel * Maintain strict compliance with access authorization, classified information, and controlled-information requirements ## Required Qualifications * Active DOE Q Clearance * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least 5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Direct experience managing construction projects, technical projects, or facility modifications within a DOE, NNSA, NRC, or comparable nuclear
