About the Role The  Technical Product Analyst – Storage Platform is an embedded technical contributor within Veeam's Product Management organization, supporting the teams responsible for next-generation storage capabilities across Veeam's flagship and SaaS product lines. You will provide technical, architectural, and analytical expertise across software-defined storage technologies, APIs, security, release processes, and data-driven product insights. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise storage, cloud-native architectures, and SaaS platforms. You will work closely with Product Managers and R&D engineers to validate design decisions, analyze product behavior, define requirements, and ensure storage capabilities are designed with scalability, reliability, and security in mind. What You'll Do Bring hands-on knowledge of modern software-defined storage technologies, including object storage (e.g. Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Azure Blob Storage), Apache Iceberg, Databricks, and relevant Veeam components into product analysis Provide structured input to Product Managers and R&D on storage feature scope, architecture options, integrations, and technology choices Validate approaches for data retention and lifecycle management Review encryption and key management concepts (data at rest/in transit) and raise risks or gaps Support analysis of malware and ransomware detection techniques relevant to storage and data protection Define and drive analysis for backup target–adjacent features from investigation through delivery review Analyze and help maintain the product REST APIs (entities, authentication, versioning, usability, consistency) and keep API documentation current Support on-premises release activities with analysis and documentation to keep teams aligned Use monitoring concepts (dashboards, KPIs, trends) to turn metrics into actionable product insights Support the evolution of Veeam's SaaS storage platform by analyzing and defining storage capabilities that power customer-facing SaaS features alongside other Veeam services What You'll Bring 3+ years of relevant experience in technical analysis or product analysis within software, storage, platform, or cloud technologies Strong knowledge of software-defined storage, object storage (e.g. Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Azure Blob Storage), encryption, and retention/lifecycle management in enterprise or SaaS environments Hands-on understanding of modern software-defined storage architectures, including object storage, block storage, deduplication systems, Apache Iceberg, and storage metadata concepts Strong understanding of REST API design (authentication, versioning, usability, consistency) Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including permissions, roles, and access policies Understanding of ransomware and malware detection approaches applicable to storage and backup solutions Strong analytical thinking and structured reasoning with the ability to make and defend technical recommendations Ability to build and use virtualization labs (e.g. VMware) to investigate system behavior independently Technologies You'll Work With Apache Iceberg Amazon S3 Amazon Glacier Azure Blob Storage Databricks Azure DevOps Confluence AI-assisted
