The ideal candidate is comfortable using Python and SQL to automate workflows, analyze data, and build proof-of-concept solutions to validate ideas before they are scaled.
Key Responsibilities
Own the technical and operational health of assigned partner integrations, developing a deep understanding of their systems, capabilities, limitations, and data models to drive scalable solutions across Agoda’s platform
Use Python scripting, SQL, and data analysis to monitor integration quality, identify recurring issues, quantify business impact, and continuously improve outcomes through data-driven insights
Design and implement automation, internal tooling, and lightweight proof-of-concept applications (e.g. scripts, dashboards, simple web apps) to reduce manual work, improve visibility, and validate ideas prior to formal product investment
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams by providing clear problem definitions, technical context, and validated assumptions for partner–related initiatives
Support Supply and Commercial use cases enabled through partners, including B2B rates and other distribution-specific configurations, ensuring solutions are scalable and operationally sound
Take end-to-end ownership of initiatives from problem identification through execution, communicating clearly with internal stakeholders and external partners on progress, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations
Required Skills and Experience
Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Solid understanding of APIs, authentication methods, and system-to-system integrations
Experience working with platform partners, integrations, or Channel Manager–like ecosystems
Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and make informed trade-offs
Preferred Skills
Experience building lightweight internal tools or web applications (e.g. Django, Flask, FastAPI)
Experience with BI or reporting tools
Familiarity with hotel distribution concepts such as ARI, rate plans, and inventory
Experience automating workflows using schedulers, cron jobs, or background tasks
