The District has 8 small schools: (4) K-6 elementary schools; (2) middle schools; and (2) high schools serving the communities of Clarksburg, Hood, Courtland, Walnut Grove, Ryde, Locke, Isleton, Rio Vista, Birds Landing, and Collinsville. The River Delta Unified School District sits in three counties – Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo. Although it is a tri-county district, it is served by the Sacramento County Office of Education. The district encourages advancement on the salary schedule for advanced classes taken to improve instruction in areas agreed upon by the teacher, principal, and Superintendent.   JOB DESCRIPTION TEACHER DEFINITION To plan, prepare and implement lesson plans for assigned classes; to provide instruction, to evaluate student progress and provide special assistance as appropriate; and to perform related duties as outlined by California Education Code and District Contract and District Board Policies and Procedures. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives general direction from the Principal. Exercises functional and technical supervision over instruction support staff.
