What you'll be doing
Become the go-to technical expert
Investigate complex system issues across customer, manufacturing and development environments.
Support customer-facing teams with advanced troubleshooting and technical escalation activities.
Diagnose issues spanning mechanical, optical, electronic and software subsystems.
Drive rapid resolution of technically challenging customer issues.
Solve complex engineering problems
Investigate performance issues across highly integrated precision instruments.
Reproduce and analyse customer-reported faults.
Understand interactions between hardware, software and environmental conditions.
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to identify solutions.
Lead root cause investigations
Perform detailed technical investigations and failure analysis.
Identify corrective and preventative actions.
Support implementation of design improvements.
Contribute to enhanced reliability, performance and robustness.
Support product development and manufacturing
Troubleshoot issues during assembly, integration and system testing.
Support new product introduction activities.
Assist with validation and verification activities.
Contribute to technical documentation and training materials.
Share knowledge across the business
Develop troubleshooting procedures and diagnostic workflows.
Create technical best-practice guidance.
Support knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
Ensure lessons learned are fed into future product development.
