This is your opportunity to join a young but fast growing company in its formative years in Australia, building on our successful foundations in the United States.    About the Role     As a  Systems Engineer , you will play a vital role in maintaining, monitoring, and optimising Bluestaq’s enterprise systems—both cloud-hosted and on-premises. You will ensure secure, reliable and continuous operations across critical software, infrastructure, and networking components, enabling Bluestaq’s teams and clients to perform mission-essential work without interruption.    You will apply deep systems administration expertise, proactive troubleshooting, and a customer-service mindset to strengthen uptime, enhance automation, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across Defence-aligned environments.    Reporting to the Bluestaq Australia leadership team, you will:     Maintain and support the integrity of Bluestaq’s systems and networks through technical support and configuration management.    Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications, networks and systems in both cloud and on-premise environments.    Ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise systems supporting 24/7 operations.    Provide timely, solutions-focused support to users and stakeholders, fostering a culture of responsiveness and collaboration.    Manage system installations, upgrades, patching, and automation initiatives to improve performance and security posture.    Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and cybersecurity teams to strengthen system resilience and streamline processes.    Support and enhance cloud identity and access management tools, ensuring compliance with security and Defence standards.    Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge bases for system continuity.    Identify and mitigate potential risks through proactive monitoring, testing, and response planning.    Maintain production Kubernetes (K8s) clusters across multiple on-premises environments, encompassing tasks such as deployment, scaling, monitoring (using tools like Prometheus/Grafana), and troubleshooting for containerised applications.    Use modern AI tools with judgment: integrating them into workflows where they're impactful, reviewing their outputs, and handling proprietary or sensitive data responsibly. About You     You must be willing to embrace our core values of Ownership, Curiosity, Talent and Trust and, in addition, have:    5–7+ years of systems administration or information technology experience supporting mission-critical environments.    Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent experience.    Demonstrated proficiency in Linux systems administration and foundational networking principles.    Strong understanding of cloud environments and identity management tools (AWS experience highly regarded).    Working knowledge o
