FIRM OVERVIEW Massar Capital Management, LP (“Massar”) is an alternative investment management company founded in 2015. We employ a global macro trading strategy that seeks to capture investment opportunities across commodity, foreign exchange, fixed income, equity, and derivatives markets. Our team members possess strong technical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and an intellectual curiosity about financial markets.   ROLE OVERVIEW Student Analyst | Vienna, Austria  The Student Analyst rotational program provides an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong quantitative and qualitative skills to gain experience working with various teams at a hedge fund. Student analysts will be able to participate in informal social events and have ample opportunity to ask questions and learn about trading and the financial markets. Full-time potential exists after graduation. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the Data Engineering team to design and implement scalable processes and tools to extract and clean datasets Work with the Risk team to build tools to visualize risk metrics Work with the Execution Trading team to create tools that improve trading efficiency and reduce costs Work with the Research Team to perform exploratory data analysis to understand relationships and opportunities in the global markets REQUIREMENTS Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree with a top grade Strong general programming background with experience coding in Python, and/or C++ Familiarity with the mechanics of securities markets and exchanges is a plus but not required Be able to succinctly present recommendations at an executive level Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills COMPENSATION Student (MSc/Phd) salary 20h/w (per month, 14 payments): 1,964€
