A retail Group based in Co Kerry require a Full Time Store Manager to join their amazing team. The company currently have 2 convenience stores based in Co. Kerry. Relevant retail experience essential.  This role is 40 hours per week with responsibility for store operations including Fresh food departments. The successful candidate will work directly with the owner and have the ability to build and lead a team of colleagues wholly focused on the highest standards of customer service and store operations. This store has potential for significant sales and margin growth in the short/medium term and a renumeration package based on realistic targets can be negotiated dependent on experience and previous track record. Rostering and general management of employees to ensure adequate cover within budgetary provisions. Accurate payment of wages in accordance with JLC agreements and Payment of Wages legislation. Plan, organise and set goals for the store to ensure consistent customer service and competitiveness. Manage the performance of the team utilising effective performance management techniques in line with legislation. Continually communicate with General Manager and Sales Team on objectives and store performance. Setting goals for the store to ensure effective customer service and competitiveness. Managing the overall performance of the delicatessen area Ensure delicatessen team is motivated Ensure delicatessen team comply with requirements of the area in terms of hygiene etc. FOOD MANAGEMENT Ensure effective & compliant HACCP control systems are in place Ensure policies and procedures pertaining to fresh food are implemented and managed Ensure area operates within relevant legislation in terms of HACCP Ensure you are up to date on all aspects HACCP and food hygiene requirements and communicate same to store management and personnel Ensure food safety policy is updated and complied with appropriately Ensure employees comply with good food hygiene practices Ensure regular cleaning of deli area and equipment Ensure relevant protective clothing is provided and worn Ensure critical control points are identified and monitored Ensure systems in place for temperature checking and food hygiene Ensure corrective action put in place for critical control points Ensure the appropriate waste management records are maintained FINANCE Setting budgets for the stores Generating and analysing financial reports, analysing same and reporting any discrepancies to General Manager. Ensure overheads are controlled and minimised where appropriate Ensure store sales are maximised Ensure store margins are managed appropriately and profitability of store is maximized Promote sales within the delicatessen area & achieve sales targets as established by the general manager Meet targets as agreed including the achievement of the required profit margin for the area Weekly stocktakes in the deli . OPERATIONS Ensure operation runs efficiently and smoothly Ensure store standards are consistently improved in terms of housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and service Plan for market changes and demands as they arise Ensure in-store promotions are managed appropriately Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and managed within the store Manage cash handling in line with company cash handling proce
