What You’ll Do: We're looking for a Staff Storage Engineer to design, build, and operate the file and block storage behind our high-performance AI storage platform. You'll build reliable, scalable, high-throughput systems that power some of the largest and most innovative AI workloads in the world, working closely with infrastructure, compute and platform teams.   About the role:  Design and implement highly scalable multi-tenant file and block storage, from the data path through the control plane. Build distributed file storage and durable block volumes, and integrate dedicated storage clusters into customer environments. Work with technologies such as RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, RoCE, InfiniBand, SPDK, and distributed filesystems to optimize performance. Improve reliability, durability, and observability across the storage stack using telemetry, metrics, and dashboards. Partner with platform, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver storage capabilities across the stack. Mentor other engineers on building distributed, high-performance systems. Who You Are:   Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure. Hands-on production experience with distributed file systems or block storage. Storage protocols (e.g. NFS, S3) and file systems such as Ceph, Lustre, DAOS, or similar. Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Rust, C++, or Go. Cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable system architecture. Storage observability and telemetry pipelines (e.g., ClickHouse, Prometheus, Grafana). Strong debugging in distributed, high-performance environments, and clear communication across teams.
