THE ROLE We’re seeking a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to join the Product Footprints https://watershed.com/en-GB/solutions/product-footprints team. We’re building an AI-powered product that enables Watershed’s largest customers to measure and reduce their supply chain emissions. You’ll be a leader in building new 0 → 1 products and scaling them, tackling large and ambiguous challenges across technical systems and product engineering. You’ll work side-by-side with product managers, AI engineers, and climate scientists. This role sits within Watershed’s Data and AI org, which builds AI products https://watershed.com/en-GB/platform/sustainability-ai and core scientific datasets (including Cornerstone https://watershed.com/en-GB/blog/cornerstone). In this role you will: - Build new products and features for Watershed’s biggest customers and most complex use cases. Recent examples include: - A sandboxed agentic workflow that translates emissions reductions scenarios from natural language into repeatable data transformations - A full-stack application to manage supply chain data, including data upload, AI model orchestration, and integration with the rest of Watershed’s platform - A new data model to extend our core backing database and expose more granular emissions breakdowns to customers - Work across our full stack, with an emphasis on back-end systems and data models - Partner with Product Management and Design to understand user workflows and needs and translate them into technical solutions - Partner with AI engineers and climate scientists to build ergonomic and trustworthy agentic workflows - Lead by example by writing performant, well-crafted, extensible, and maintainable code You might be a good fit if you have: - 8+ years of software engineering industry experience across both front-end and back-end, with an emphasis on back-end - A track record of ownership and high-impact projects - Experience building early-stage products - Experience with, or interest in, building AI-powered and data-centric products - Mission-driven and excited to build products that will help companies reduce their emissions The Denver Office: Our Denver office is one of Watershed's newest and fastest-growing hubs. Located at 1615 Platte Street in LoHi, it's home to a collaborative team of engineers, product managers, and business partners working together in person. Watershed provides lunch every day in the office, and you'll have the opportunity to help shape the culture and future of a growing engineering presence in Denver. Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles) Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin.
