Description
Our Sr. Staff Platform Engineer Leads the design, implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise platform infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable, and highly available environments while driving automation, DevOps best practices, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud, hybrid, and on-premises platform infrastructure, ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. Architect, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and platform automation to enable reliable software delivery. Deploy, administer, and optimize Kubernetes, OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, Confluent, Elasticsearch, and related platform technologies. Define and enhance platform observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, capacity planning, and proactive performance optimization. Establish and enforce platform security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and service reliability best practices. Mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with Development, QUALITY, Security, and Operations teams to drive DevOps adoption and continuous improvement. Maintain platform standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, and support audit and governance activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or a similar technical discipline. Strong expertise in Linux/Windows administration, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automation, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), Monitoring Tools (Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK). Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms, networking, production support, performance tuning, and high-availability environments. Experience with IBM Cloud Pak Stacks , Confluent, Elasticsearch, and enterprise platform technologies is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of security best practices, IAM, vulnerability management, backup and disaster recovery, incident management, and service reliability (SLA/SLO). Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead complex technical initiatives. Benefits
