Description
ISS International Spa is looking for a SPS Control Commissioning Engineer for an offshore project in the Mediterranean Sea. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Subsea, or Instrumentation Engineering. 8+ years of experience in offshore/subsea oil & gas, with 5 years in SPS commissioning. Execute commissioning of subsea hardware including XTs, SDUs, UTAs, manifolds, flying leads, and umbilicals. Coordinate and perform functional and interface testing between SPS and FPSO topside systems, including Hydraulic Power Units (HPU), Electrical Power Units (EPU), Subsea Control Units (SCU), and chemical Injection Units (CIU). Supervise FATs, EFATs, SITs, flushing, pressure testing, leak testing, control function tests, and loop checks in collaboration with vendors and internal teams. Plan commissioning sequences, develop commissioning dossiers, review ITRs, and manage test record documentation to ensure alignment with project milestones and start-up readiness. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases — both onshore and offshore. Oversee energization and validation of hydraulic, electrical, and optical systems; verify data and power communication integrity (SIIS, Modbus, Ethernet). Interface with OEMs (e.g., TechnipFMC, OneSubsea, Aker Solutions) to ensure deliverables meet commissioning and operational readiness requirements. Familiar with commissioning management systems such as ICAPS, PIMS, WinPCS, or equivalent. Monitor and clear commissioning-related punch lists; coordinate Mechanical Completion (MC), Subsystem Completion (SC), Ready-for-Commissioning (RFC), and Ready-for-Start-Up (RFSU) processes.
