Description
fal is the generative media ecosystem powering the next generation of AI products. We build the infrastructure, tools, and model access that teams need to move from idea to production, and do it at scale without compromise. For developers and enterprises, fal is the foundation that makes generative media not just possible, but practical: a unified platform where high-performance inference, orchestration, and observability come together to unlock new categories of AI-native products. As generative media reshapes industries across a market projected to grow by hundreds of billions over the next decade, fal is becoming the ecosystem that ambitious teams build on. Sourcing Manager, Cloud (Procurement) Own how fal buys compute — GPUs, and the long-lead gear that powers our infrastructure. You'll secure supply and negotiate the deals that let us scale faster than anyone else. WHAT YOU'LL OWN - Own the sourcing lifecycle for GPU capacity across hyperscalers, neocloud providers, and infrastructure partners, from evaluation and negotiation through contracting and ongoing capacity management. - Negotiate multi million dollar commercial agreements covering pricing, committed capacity, SLAs, and expansion rights (Digital Ocean, CoreWeave, Lambda, Nebius etc) - Secure supply through allocation strategy and buffer inventory so our build-out is never gated on hardware. - Partner with capacity planning to forecast demand, secure future capacity, and balance cost, availability, and performance across providers. WHAT YOU BRING - 7 to 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, cloud partnerships, or infrastructure vendor management. - Experience negotiating large infrastructure, cloud, or compute agreements worth millions of dollars annually. - Strong understanding of GPU infrastructure, cloud economics, and capacity planning. - Experience building executive relationships with infrastructure vendors and managing ongoing commercial performance. - Comfortable building procurement processes in a fast moving, high growth environment. - Comfort building the process, not inheriting it — you thrive in high-growth ambiguity. BONUS POINTS - Experience managing GPU allocation during supply shortages.
