The Solutions Engineer will be a core member of InfoSum's North American Client Services team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role responsible for owning the full lifecycle of client implementations—from pre-sale scoping through post-sale execution and ongoing technical support.
InfoSum is WPP's newly acquired data collaboration platform (acquired April 2025 for ~$150M) and serves as the foundational data layer for WPP Open Intelligence. This role will work with some of the world's most recognizable brands, publishers, and data partners—including Disney, NBCU, Netflix, Roku, Walmart, and major WPP client brands.
What you'll be doing:
Own an assigned portfolio of WPP clients and partners, serving as their primary technical contact and implementation lead
Scope, design, and execute data collaboration solutions from initial discovery through go-live and ongoing optimization
Act as a "customer-facing DevOps resource" during the post-sale cycle—troubleshooting, building, and maintaining client implementations across multiple cloud environments
Write SQL queries, Python scripts, and build data workflows to deliver insights and activate campaigns for clients
Support pre-sale technical conversations, solution design, and proof-of-concept work alongside the sales team
Build and maintain technical documentation, implementation playbooks, and process standards as the team scales
Implement InfoSum's native app technology across all five major cloud environments (GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks) over the next 6-12 months
Support growing WPP-internal initiatives including Data Meter (usage tracking), Data Catalog (asset discovery), and Dataset Audit (data validation)
What you'll need:
Technical Fluency:
SQL proficiency (ESSENTIAL): InfoSum's platform is built on a SQL-like query language. You must be comfortable writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries.
Python for data operations: Hands-on experience using Python to format data, create deliverables, and automate workflows. Must have actually coded in Python—not just AI-assisted familiarity.
Cloud environment experience: Experience working in at least one of: GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Databricks. Comfortable navigating cloud storage, understanding data pipelines, and troubleshooting technical issues in cloud environments.
API integration experience: Has worked with or supported API-based integrations between platforms.
Client-Facing & Problem-Solving:
Service mentality: Approaches technical work with a customer-first mindset. Treats clients as partners, not just recip
