Join us to advance our mission and shape your future with us today!      Learn more about GovTech at tech.gov.sg.     About CCYC CCYC (Culture, Community and Youth Cluster) is a part of GovTech's Government Digital Transformation team where we support the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and its statutory boards — such as the National Arts Council (NAC), People’s Association (PA), Sport Singapore (SportSG), and  Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) — by delivering digital solutions that promote social cohesion, cultural vibrancy, and youth engagement.   [What you will be working on]   As a software engineer, you will:  Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure software applications across the full software development lifecycle. Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high-quality products. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in various programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, C#). Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence. Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems. Contribute to technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and best practices. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application within GovTech's ecosystem. Participate in agile development processes, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.    You're not just here to write code, but also to figure out what we should be building and how we should build it. You will work on meaningful projects that solve problems pertinent to our society. The public sector is full of opportunities where even the simplest software can have a big impact on people’s lives. Rather than work on commercial ventures commonly found in the startup scene, we're here to improve how we live as a society through what we can offer as a government.  Your job will be to bring expertise and capability to the public sector. Sometimes this means coding new systems from scratch. Other times this means using the best solutions the development community has to offer. We use cloud services, open-source software, and commodity hardware as far as possible. These often include, but are not limited to: GitHub, AWS, React Native, MongoDB, and Stripe amongst others. Knowing what to build and what to reuse lets us avoid wasting time on solved problems and focus on delivering actual value.   [What we are looking for]   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
