Description
At Wyetech, you’ll be at the center of an award-winning corporate culture, breaking technological barriers and solving real-world problems for our federal government customers. We are committed to hiring the best of the best, and in return, we offer a world-class, truly unique employee experience that is rare within our industry.   We are seeking a DevOps Software Engineer II who is comfortable working across the software development lifecycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure, and production support. This role also requires software engineering experience who can support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.   The ideal candidate is a Software Engineer first, but the role requires being comfortable working across the software development lifecycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure, and production support. We are not looking for a pure application developer, nor are we looking for a traditional system administrator. The ideal candidate has software engineering experience and can also support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.   We are trying to Optimize for software engineers who have operational ownership experience. We want candidates who build software and are comfortable deploying, automating, troubleshooting, and supporting it in production environments.   The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.   *Candidate would be expected to be “On call” to support system operations.   Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
