  Software Developer – Identity & Access Management (IAM) , #1076 Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required . Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.  On site in Tysons Corner, VA 3 days per week Dev Technology Group is looking for a Software Developer – Identity & Access Management (IAM) to support  a project to plan and implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for web-based applications as part of  Operations & Maintenance (O&M)  for a  federal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevant  development  experience,  hand-on with  i dentity  p rovider (IdP)  solutions  (e.g.,  AWS Cognito, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID ,  and/or Login.gov ) ,   understanding of  cloud architecture ,   strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment. Summary In collaboration with the Project Manager, Development Lead, and incumbent team members, the  Software Developer – IAM   will help to plan,  design , and prototype the implementation of  secure  user  authentication mechanisms for web-based application s.  The primary focus of this role is to deliver a robust MFA   solution  leveraging   industry available and a customer preferred IdP solution. The ideal candidate will have  expertise  in identity and access management, cloud-based authentication services, and secure application development.   Required Education, Experience, and Skills:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor’s Degree with seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment   Proficiency in one or more languages: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React, Angular), Java / Spring Boot, Python, JSON   Project experience developing and integrating user authentication workflow with web-based applications    Use of Active Directory with connection to Federated sources and single sign on (SSO)   Knowledge and implementation of MFA solutions, specifically AWS Cognito, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and/or Login.gov   Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control   Knowledge and management of AWS GovCloud services, specifically Cognito, Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway   Software delivery using the Agile Scrum or Kanban methodology via Jira   Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) plus Active listening skills   Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical government officials   Ability to problem-solve and develop solutions to complex business need Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills: Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs   Experience implementing password policies and account recovery flows   Knowledge of secure web practices: HTTPS, CORS, CSRF protection, secure storage of tokens   Familiarity with implementing phishing-resistant MFA protocols, including PIV/CAC integration or authentication standards   AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)   Our estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000, this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
