Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, this exciting role will place the right candidate at the forefront of UAS development in the UK. You’ll be responsible for the avionics development and integration for new and existing platforms, including the exploitation of emerging technologies. This will involve all aspects of design, development and test associated with aircraft electronic systems; including flight control, navigation, communication, sensor, payload, aircraft management and ground control systems. Role Responsibilities Design and development of avionics systems for uncrewed air systems, including, navigation, communication, payloads, aircraft management and command & control (C2) systems. Integration of systems, including other air vehicle systems such as power plant, fuel systems and payloads. Support wider aircraft systems design, such as cabling and loom/wire harness design. Assessment of system and subsystem failures and impacts to other systems Support and enable flight test development activities, including field work Generation and maintenance of documentation, for products and internal processes Develop and maintain test facilities and tools Perform other related duties as required Health and Safety Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
