Our inclusive, positive culture lays the foundation to ensure every colleague is valued for their perspectives and skills, giving you the choice of how YOU make a difference. Curious? Read this opportunity to learn how YOU can make a difference at ConnectWise!       About the Role You will be a senior engineer on the x360Sync team at ConnectWise, owning development of the macOS agent — a native desktop application at the heart of the x360Sync backup and file sync product. The application is primarily written in C++, with Swift and Objective-C used for macOS-native components. You will be stepping into a mature codebase with real ownership and scope from day one. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain features in the x360Sync macOS agent, working primarily in C++ with Swift and Objective-C for platform-native integrations - Debug and resolve production issues, including deep-dive investigation across the application stack and macOS system APIs - Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing technical recommendations grounded in macOS platform best practices - Write clean, well-tested code and take part in code reviews — both giving and receiving constructive feedback - Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features on schedule without cutting corners on quality - Contribute to improving engineering standards, internal tooling, and development processes - Help scope and break down complex problems into well-defined tasks for yourself and the broader team - Document technical decisions, system behavior, and processes clearly for teammates and future contributors Required Qualifications Technical - Solid professional experience writing C++ in a production environment - Strong working knowledge of macOS internals, frameworks, and platform APIs (e.g. NSFileProvider, FSEvents) - Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C for macOS-native development - Experience debugging complex, multi-threaded, or multi-process applications - Experience with software development workflows, including version control (Git), code review, and CI/CD pipelines Non-Technical - Strong written and verbal English communication skills — you'll work with distributed teams and will need to articulate technical ideas clearly - Ability to work independently and manage your own priorities in a remote or hybrid environment - Comfortable working in an established codebase with existing design decisions you didn't author Nice-to-Have Qualifications - Experience with file sync, backup, or storage-related products - Familiarity with Windows desktop development (the x360Sync agent also has a Windows counterpart) - Exposure to cross-platform C++ codebases targeting both macOS and Windows - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment - Background in developer tooling, performance profiling, or low-level system programming on macOS Why Join the x360Sync Team The x360Sync team works on software that businesses genuinely depend on — keeping their files safe and in sync. You won't be building another internal dashboard; your work ships to real customers
