We're a fast-moving team of passionate subject-matter experts located across 37 offices, speaking 45 languages, and on a mission to connect the world's media    Role Summary  This is an exciting new opportunity at XR to join our team in the role of Senior Regional Controller based in our Shared Service Center in Budapest. The ideal candidate will own regional controllership and audit readiness activities, ensuring timely and accurate close execution, US GAAP-compliant reporting, strong internal controls, and high-quality audit support. The role will also support management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting activities while partnering closely with other functions to ensure strong financial processes and controls.  Key Responsibilities   Lead regional controllership activities to ensure accurate and US GAAP-aligned financial reporting   Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close coordination activities, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables  Support external and internal audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and responses to audit requests  Strengthening audit readiness through process standardization and documentation improvements  Partner closely with R2R to ensure integrity, completeness, and consistency of financial results  Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities  Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting governance standards  Support management reporting, variance analysis, and P&L/BS commentary for regional leadership  Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities in partnership with FP&A  Provide working capital insights and support financial transparency across the organization  Contribute to finance transformation initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence  Requirements Required Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics  CPA/CIMA/ACCA preferred  5–7 years of controlling  Fluent English  Preferred Skills     Experience supporting external audits and driving audit readiness initiatives  Strong understanding of controllership principles, financial governance, and close management processes  Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau  Advanced Excel and data analysis skills  Solid understanding of US GAAP and its impact on financial reporting  Ability to mentor and guide junior team members  In addition to other qualifications, the candidate must meet the following requirements:  Commercial acumen  Cross-cultural communication  Curiosity and improvement mindset  Highly organized  Structured and process-oriented  Attention to detail and consistency  Positive, can-do attitude  Problem solver  Quick learner  Flexibility to cover U.S. business during critical periods   Benefits XR has 23 offices worldwid
