Job Summary: The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for executing high-level electrical engineering tasks to meet client specifications and project scopes. This role includes developing technical drawings, performing power system studies, and creating equipment specifications, while ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols. This role will work in accordance with company safety policies and ensure compliance with administrative and technical standards. Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff. Duties/Responsibilities: Design and Development Create detailed electrical drawings for utility substations and industrial medium-voltage systems, including: One-line AC and DC elementary drawings. Grounding drawings. Electrical wiring diagrams. Conduit and cable trench designs. Conduit and cable schedules. Develop specifications for electrical power equipment, such as power transformers, circuit breakers, reclosers, switches, and cables. Analysis and Calculations Perform electrical power system studies (e.g., short circuit, load flow, and arc flash incident energy analyses) using specialized engineering software. Conduct complex engineering calculations related to power systems analysis and design. Develop protective device settings, subject to review by the project manager. Project Support Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Assist project managers by reviewing the work of project engineers, technicians, designers, drafters, and interns.
