Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Platform Engineer to architect, build, and operate a next-generation AI-powered Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that enables rapid, secure, and scalable software delivery across the enterprise.
This role will manage a critical Kubernetes platform and drive automation through Terraform, ArgoCD, and Azure DevOps. While your foundation is rooted in SRE and DevOps excellence, you will also lead our efforts to integrate Agentic AI into the platform, building intelligent workflows that automate environment provisioning, incident triage, and self-service capabilities to eliminate operational friction.
You will operate at the intersection of Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, AI automation, and Developer Experience, building systems that empower engineering teams to move faster with higher reliability and lower operational overhead.

What You’ll Do:
Platform Architecture: Design, Develop and evolve a self-service Internal Developer Platform (leveraging Backstage or similar) to abstract cloud complexity for engineering teams.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the development of modular, enterprise-grade Terraform libraries to manage multi-region Azure and AWS environments.
Kubernetes Orchestration: Operate and manage large-scale Kubernetes clusters, focusing on networking, security hardening, and workload autoscaling.
Continuous Delivery: Own the CI/CD lifecycle by building robust Azure DevOps Pipelines and implementing GitOps patterns using Argo CD.
AI-Enhanced Automation: Develop Python-based automation and AI agents to assist in infrastructure scaffolding, policy enforcement, CI/CD actions and proactive cost optimization.
SRE & Reliability: Partner with dev teams to define SLIs/SLOs and integrate observability (Datadog/Prometheus) to create self-healing infrastructure loops.
Developer Advocacy: Continuously improve Developer Experience (DevEx) by reducing cognitive load and providing automated onboarding and documentation for new services.
Required Technical Qualifications:
7+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
Expert-level Terraform: Experience managing complex state, custom providers, and enterprise-grade modules.
K8s Specialist: Deep understanding of CNI, CSI, Ingress Controllers, and Service Mesh.
Python Mastery: Ability to write production-grade Python for building CLI tools, automation scripts, and AI agent logic.
Agentic AI Experience: Proven experience moving beyond simple prompts to building autonomous agents that use tools/APIs to perform tasks day to day platform engineering tasks
Production GitOps: Hands-on experience scaling Argo CD across hundreds of microservices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure OpenAI Service and building RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems f
Knowledge of Policy-as-Code (OPA/Gatekeeper or Kyverno) integrated into CI/CD.
Background in FinOps, specifically using AI to drive automated cloud cost reduction.
