AGE Solutions is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer for the Pacific Region. The Senior Network Engineer Pacific Region provides senior-level engineering and technical leadership for our customer’s enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure supporting the DoD medical mission throughout the Pacific region. The position is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex network environments while ensuring compliance with DoD and DHA standards. The engineer serves as the regional technical lead, supports network modernization initiatives, develops network standards and documentation, and collaborates with government personnel and technical teams to maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing network operations.
Responsibilities Include:
Design, implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure supporting Defense Health Agency (DHA) facilities throughout the Pacific region.
Serve as the regional technical lead and primary point of contact for network engineering, configuration management, routing, and communications.
Diagnosing and resolve complex network issues across all layers of the OSI model using enterprise network management and diagnostic tools.
Install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using tools such as Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, Ansible, MIBs, and MRTG, implementing improvements to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
Develop, maintain, and enforce network architecture standards, technical documentation, policies, procedures, and configuration baselines in accordance with DoD and DHA requirements.
Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions, providing recommendations for network enhancements, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
Coordinate with government personnel, contractors, vendors, and technical teams to plan, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
Lead the investigation and resolution of complex network incidents and provide technical guidance to Network Specialists and other engineering staff.
Support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives by implementing and maintaining secure network architectures and ensuring compliance with applicable security policies and regulations.
Prepare technical reports, change requests, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other documentation supporting network operations and change management.
Participate in network projects, infrastructure upgrades, and other mission-critical initiatives while ensuring minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
Communicate project status, network performance, and operational recommendations to government stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure network services meet availability, reliability, performance, and security requirements in support of the DoD medical mission.
Perform other related duties and technical assignments as required..
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years of directly related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Engineering, technical degree or related discipline, and five years of directly related experience.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are required.
Must have and maintain a current DoD Secret clearance.
