About the Role
Are you a network architect ready to build, scale, and automate cutting-edge corporate infrastructure? As a Senior Network Engineer, you will own the reliability of our partner's network, blending deep technical expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code principles to create resilient, high-performance systems.
What You Will Do
Architect & Maintain: Design and manage robust corporate network infrastructure using MikroTik, UniFi, and Fortinet, ensuring high availability through VRRP and active-passive/active-active clustering.
Champion IaC: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles for our entire network estate, ensuring all configurations are defined in Ansible or Terraform, stored in version control, and reproducible on demand.
Optimize Wireless: Deploy and fine-tune enterprise-grade Wi-Fi, conducting deep RF analysis, roaming optimization, and maintaining WPA3-Enterprise security with RADIUS and EAP-TLS.
Enforce Security: Implement 802.1X wired authentication and granular VLAN segmentation, integrating RADIUS policies with identity providers (Okta) for dynamic access control.
Scale Remote Access: Operate and secure VPN infrastructure across WireGuard, OpenVPN, and GlobalProtect, defining firewall policies and RBAC-driven access.
Drive Observability: Build comprehensive monitoring pipelines (SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, syslog) and dashboards using Grafana/VictoriaMetrics to drive permanent, data-backed incident resolution.
Automate Operations: Develop Python-based tooling to streamline configuration rendering, compliance checks, and operational reporting.
Collaborate & Mentor: Partner cross-functionally with DevOps, Security, and Endpoint Engineering teams to align workflows and foster a culture of network automation and documentation.
What You Bring
Experience: 5+ years in network engineering or infrastructure-heavy roles.
Core Expertise: Advanced knowledge of MikroTik RouterOS, Ubiquiti UniFi, and Fortinet FortiGate (HA configuration, policy management, and APs).
Technical Proficiency: Solid IaC background (Ansible/Terraform) with Git-based change management and a working knowledge of Python for automation.
Specialized Skills: Hands-on experience with 802.1X, dynamic VLAN assignment via RADIUS, and deep wireless troubleshooting (RF captures, supplicant debugging, EAP-TLS).
VPN Competency: Solid experience managing WireGuard, OpenVPN, and GlobalProtect gateways.
Monitoring: Strong skills in network observability (SNMP, NetFlow, syslog, dashboarding).
Soft Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, and excel in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama, NGFW features).
Familiarity with SecureW2 or cloud RADIUS/PKI platforms.
Awareness of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Transit Gateway) and Kubernetes networking.
Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) or FinOps for infrastructure cost management.
