Position Summary  &nbsp;  The Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer provides support for on-going projects that require the installation, testing, and implementation of new z/OS operating systems and other ‘system’ software. Also, the Maintenance and debugging of systems software. Research and evaluation of new software and hardware products, assisting team members and other areas with technical questions and problem resolution. Monitoring and tuning of systems software. Functional knowledge, use of z/OS components and detailed knowledge of support products such as tape management, scheduling, security, monitoring systems, and other z/OS supporting systems software. Note: This  is not  an Applications Programming position.  &nbsp;  Key Areas of Focus for this Role    Provide thought leadership in terms of future direction for Automation strategy for Ensono. Look at best practices, tools and process in the context of Ensono’s business, operations, and customers.    Be the subject matter expert and main point of contact for key projects and initiatives.&nbsp; Using proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues to optimize our applications.    ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Participate in On-call Schedule.   Incident / Problem resolution   &nbsp;   &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; z/OS &amp; Tools your main tasks are related to:&nbsp;   ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Incident, change and problem handling.&nbsp;  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Configuration and customization.&nbsp;  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Setup of parameters.&nbsp;  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Communication with vendors.&nbsp;  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Participation/contribution to technical projects.&nbsp;  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In depth knowledge and understanding of z/OS&nbsp;and related product software z/OS.&nbsp;  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; PARMLIB configuration and JES2 customization.  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to support in solving problems and implementing changes on z/OS environments.  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Advanced knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent written and verbal skills.  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to take the lead in problem solving and coordination of multi-disciplinary groups.  ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  &nbsp;  What the Ideal Candidate Brings to this Role  &nbsp;   Required Qualifications help to assure new Associates are set up for success in their role with Ensono. Candidates that may meet some, but not all, Other Qualifications are still encouraged to apply.    &nbsp;    Required Qualifications    Minimum of 10+ years of experience within a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent combination of education and experience   ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience   Knowledge and understanding of z/OS and z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.  Advanced knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
