About the Role Do you thrive in designing and maintaining robust IT infrastructures while ensuring stability, security, and continuous improvement? In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and operating Ascom’s global ICT landscape—covering cloud, on-premise, networking, and communication platforms. You will act as a key technical expert, ensuring that infrastructure services are always operational, secure, and aligned with business needs, while driving improvements and supporting global ICT initiatives. You’ll work in an international environment, collaborating with internal stakeholders, vendors, and global teams in line with Ascom’s group-wide standards and best practices. What you will do (key responsibilities) Infrastructure design & implementation • Design, implement, and maintain server, networking, and cloud solutions aligned with business requirements • Ensure systems are kept up to date, secure, and optimized for performance Systems installation & operations • Install and configure software and networking systems • Ensure stability and availability of IT infrastructure services Incident & problem management • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and communication platform issues • Ensure incidents are handled efficiently and root causes are addressed Project leadership & continuous improvement • Lead and contribute to ICT infrastructure projects and initiatives • Continuously improve systems, processes, and technologies across the ICT landscape Training & knowledge sharing • Train employees on new hardware and software solutions • Support knowledge transfer and promote best practices Stakeholder & vendor collaboration • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors • Support coordination across global stakeholders to ensure effective delivery Who you are (personality & ways of working) You are a hands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling complex infrastructure challenges You take ownership and ensure systems are reliable, secure, and continuously improved You are a collaborative professional , able to influence without direct authority You thrive in complex, global environments , balancing operational and strategic needs You are proactive and driven by continuous improvement and innovation What you bring (experience & skills) Proven experience in ICT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise IT environments Strong expertise in: · Microsoft server environments and system management tools · Networking (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN) · Cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk mitigation • Experience in troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational support • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage or contribute to infrastructure projects and initiatives • Comfortable working in an international, multi-site corporate environment Why this role matters (why you should apply) • You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and evolution of Ascom’s global ICT infrastructure • Your expertise will drive operational excellence, system reliability, and continuous improvement • This role is critical in supporting business continuity and digital transformation initiatives across the organization Your background • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field • 6–10 years of experience in a similar ICT role • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, systems, and security • Experience in multi-site corporate IT environments is a strong advantage • Fluent English (written and spoken) Join Us At Ascom, we believe recruitment is a two-way decision.
