Your impact and responsibilities
Transform visiting the eye doctor into an enjoyable and delightful experience for a BILLION people
Tackle challenges to provide responsive and engaging customer experiences while ensuring user data is being handled securely and with care
Design, implement, and test brand new product features having top-line business impact and performance (delightful customer facing features and internal tools improving productivity)
Build tools to deploy, monitor, and manage our applications
Conduct code reviews and provide regular feedback to your team
Keep up to date with the latest web technologies and infrastructure designs
What we’re looking for
BS/MS in CS, related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of object oriented programming experience in a professional environment
Experience building secure, production-level, backend infrastructure
Experience working with AWS services (e.g. S3, ElasticBeanstalk, EC2)
Experience in web technologies such as ES6, React, Node, Redux, jQuery, Webpack, Babel, SCSS
Passion for creating great user experiences
Ability to work in a cross functional environment (non-engineers such as designers, doctors, and end customers)
Self-starter, adaptable, coachable, and excited to work in a fast-moving startup environment
Our team is Hybrid in our San Carlos Office

Stage 1 — Recruiter Screen A 20-minute conversation with our recruiting partner to discuss your background, career goals, and mutual fit.
Stage 2 — Technical Round 1 A collaborative coding session with an engineer focused on problem-solving, communication, and technical approach.
Stage 3 — Technical Round 2 A deeper technical discussion with another engineer where you'll work through additional coding and algorithmic challenges while exploring your engineering thought process.
Final Round — Onsite Interview Meet with members of our EPD team at our San Carlos Headquarters and James Wong, Co-Founder and CTO, to learn more about XP Health's vision, culture, and the impact you'll make. The onsite interview typically lasts 3-4 hours and is required for all candi
