We are currently collaborating with a leading industrial environmental technology and air pollution control company based in Madrid, which is looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to its team. About the role: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to support engineering, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities related to Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) and associated high-voltage electrical systems. The role combines office-based engineering work with international field activities and requires close collaboration with project management, automation, service, and commissioning teams. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and testing to site commissioning and customer support. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both technical problem-solving and hands-on field work in complex industrial environments. Responsibilities Design, review, and support electrical systems for Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) installations and upgrades Prepare electrical engineering documentation including schematics, technical specifications, calculations, cable lists, and reports Support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and optimization activities at customer sites worldwide Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), inspections, and performance evaluations Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical, control, and high-voltage system issues Collaborate with automation, mechanical, and process engineering teams during project execution Provide technical support to sales, project management, procurement, and aftermarket/service departments Interface with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel on technical electrical matters Ensure compliance with international electrical standards, safety regulations, and internal engineering procedures Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical development within the organization. • Support retrofit and modernization projects for existing ESP installations Requirements : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar Experience with industrial electrical systems and power distribution High-voltage systems experience is highly valued Knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems is considered an advantage Experience within heavy industry, process plants, environmental technologies, or EPC projects is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within international project teams Good communication and technical reporting skills Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and site support activities (approximately 100–170 travel days per year) Benefits : Opportunity to work on technically advanced and environmentally impactful industrial projects International exposure
