Overview of the role We build the demographic, socio-economic and macroeconomic datasets that Euromonitor clients around the world rely on to make decisions. We are looking for a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst to help standardise, model and forecast that data – turning messy, inconsistent source statistics into figures people can actually compare and trust. It is a role for someone who likes solving problems with data: sharpening our modelling and forecasting techniques, and finding new ways to improve data quality and comparability rather than just maintaining the status quo. Requirements What you’ll do Analyze and manipulate datasets, carrying out calculations and numerical analysis using R. Standardize raw statistical data to ensure cross-source comparability. Extrapolate and interpolate data using both quantitative and qualitative methods to develop modelling and forecasting techniques. Monitor, review, and enhance data quality. Document all work processes to ensure team alignment and best practices. Liaise with sales and marketing departments and handle client queries. What we’re looking for Background in mathematics, econometrics, data science, statistics or similar fields. Proficiency in R. Knowledge of Python is a plus. Proficiency with Git. Experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis and time series forecasting. • Good coding habits: proper documentation, styling, reproducibility. Excellent communications skills and fluency in English (both oral & written). • Strong organizational skills, creativity and attention to detail.
