You will work closely with engineering to translate application requirements into effective AWS architectures, while improving infrastructure practices through automation and best practices. This role plays a key part in strengthening our AWS capabilities and shaping how we build and operate cloud environments. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges and bringing structure and expertise to evolving environments. What you will be doing   AWS solution ownership & implementation: Design, build, and implement AWS-based infrastructure solutions aligned with application and business requirements, selecting appropriate services and configurations to deliver scalable and reliable systems. Cloud architecture collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective AWS service designs, shifting the current model from reactive execution to proactive solution ownership. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and standardise infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring consistency across environments (dev, UAT, production) and reducing manual configuration errors. Cloud service optimisation: Evaluate and introduce AWS services (e.g. CloudFront, managed services, event-driven architectures) to improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency. Auto-scaling & reliability engineering: Design and implement auto-scaling strategies, redundancy, and high-availability setups to improve system resilience and performance. Environment consistency & deployment practices: Establish best practices to ensure infrastructure consistency across environments, eliminating deployment gaps between development, testing, and production. Incident troubleshooting & root cause analysis: Support troubleshooting of infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence. Cross-region and time-zone support: Provide infrastructure support aligned with global teams, including collaboration with teams operating in the Netherlands time zone when required. Knowledge sharing & capability uplift: Mentor and guide existing team members, raising overall AWS knowledge and helping establish stronger internal standards and practices. Documentation & process improvement: Create and maintain infrastructure documentation and contribute to improving operational processes and workflows.   We’d love to hear from you if you have   AWS expertise (core requirement): Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS infrastructure in production environments, with the ability to select and apply appropriate services based on use cases. AWS services knowledge: Practical experience with core AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch, and exposure to more advanced services such as CloudFront or event-driven architectures. Infrastructure as Code (core requirement): Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (or similar IaC tools), including building reusable and scalable infrastructure across multiple
