We are innovating and working on creative solutions to help our customers manage their Frontify organizations and resources more efficiently. You’ll join the Product Platform team, where we are seeking a competent and curious Senior Backend Engineer who thrives on solving architectural challenges and getting things done. Your contributions will shape the scalability and performance of our Product. Your responsibilities - - You’ll implement high-quality features and improvements in a modern web application. - You’ll design solutions that ensure scalability, security, and maintainability. - You will collaborate with product management, design, and engineering toward viable product development changes from discovery to delivery. - You will work closely with other developers through pair programming, code reviews, and alike. Your story - - You can work remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or join us on-site in our St. Gallen office, with the flexibility to choose your best work environment. - You're experienced in backend software engineering, while having basic frontend engineering knowledge is useful. - Ideally, you code with PHP or are willing to learn. Knowledge of TypeScript and other languages is welcome. - You love to write readable, reusable, scalable, and well-tested code. - You don't shy away from dealing with legacy code. - You fend off the dreaded 'big ball of mud' by keeping coupling low, cohesion high, and SOLID principles close at heart. - You hold strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - You have excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - You speak English fluently.
