Job Title: Scheduling and Authorizations Specialist Location: South Africa Job Type: Full-Time, Remote (US Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM EST) Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage scheduling for client appointments, assessments, and services efficiently. Request and obtain prior authorizations from insurance providers to ensure timely patient care. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to scheduling and authorization processes within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve any issues regarding scheduling or authorizations. Monitor authorization statuses and follow up on pending requests to prevent delays. Assist in process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and compliance with payer requirements. Requirements Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling and authorization roles. Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Experience with Waystar, Central Reach, or similar platforms is a plus.
