The success of our educational activities hinges on collaboration with leading medical experts to develop content that drives physician behavior to the audience most interested and most in need of the education. AiCME educational activities are available in a number of formats, including audio, video, and live/virtual events.
Overall Objective
A dynamic and highly capable Director, Educational Development will work closely with the Senior Director, Educational Development to build and expand a highly successful business and focus clearly on the needs of clients. The ultimate objective is to deliver against sales targets and contribute to the year on year growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Business development through direct sales to a diversified client base, including the following:
Achieve sales of circa CAD$ 750,000 by the end of Yr1 through selling existing AiCME services to Canadian pharmaceutical personnel.
Achieve sales of circa CAD $1,500,000 by the end of Yr2.
Work closely with the AiCME team to ensure effective coverage of key therapy areas.
Develop and maintain a portfolio of accounts for the Business Unit (BU) that ensures no individual client account represents >15% of the BU’s overall business.
To deliver compelling proposals and presentations for assigned accounts in terms of maximizing revenue potential to ensure that new business opportunities are created and profitable working relationships are established.
Continuously scan the market environment to detect signals that represent potential business opportunities.
To work collegiately with other members of your immediate Business Unit and more widely across the Business Group to maximise opportunities with accounts.
Conform with the Business Unit and Groups policies and processes in relation to documenting accounts, this includes, but is not limited to, regular updates to the sales forecast and pipeline management tool.
Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to work independently as well as part of a team and will be comfortable in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
An ability to develop strong client relationships, whilst demonstrating good business acumen. Although there is an excellent base to start from, an entrepreneurial spirit is required to ensure we can develop our thinking, approach and strategy as we face the realities of a dynamic and changing marketplace.
Candidates are expected to possess the drive to succeed and be driven and motivated by challenging, but achievable, targets.
Ideally candidates will have a good understanding of the Canadian Certified Medical Education environment and be familiar with accreditation processes and req
