Its ground-breaking Next-Gen platform provides IT operations teams with the ability to scale their hybrid multi-cloud connected networks by automating the processes associated with Diagnostic Troubleshooting, Outage Prevention and Protected Change Management. We're looking for a detail-oriented sales commissions professional with 8+ years of experience (6+ with a Master's) managing sales compensation, ideally with hands-on CaptivateIQ (or similar) and NetSuite experience. You're comfortable translating complex commission structures for salespeople, own the monthly close process end-to-end, and thrive working cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Ops, Finance, and Payroll.
What You'll Do
Calculate commission payments, manage MBO and BDR bonuses, deferred contract costs, and commissions expense using CaptivateIQ commissions software.
Manage multiple sales compensation plans and ensure accurate monthly sales compensation statements.
Establish the yearly compensation plans and sales hierarchy in the CaptivateIQ system.
Prepare all commission-related journal entries and post to NetSuite (or comparable ERP) each close cycle.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for deferred contract costs and commission accruals.
Support commission calculations for NetBrain's channel and reseller partner deals in addition to direct sales.
Drive automation and initiatives to reduce the monthly closing cycle.
Reconcile monthly commission payments to the payroll register.
Monitor the Commissions inbox and respond to commission questions in a timely manner.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments, especially Sales and Revenue Ops.
Produce ad hoc reports, reconciliations, and analyses as needed, including reviewing deal terms, reviewing commissions calculations, measuring performance against sales quotas, and ensuring commissions are paid timely and in accordance with plan provisions.
Support financial audit related to accrued commission and deferred contract costs.
Manage customer collections, proactively communicate with customers and sales, and manage the Accounts Receivable email inbox.
What You Bring
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree.
Hands-on experience with commission/compensation platforms (CaptivateIQ or similar) strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP system for journal entries and account reconciliations.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Salesforce or CPQ systems for reviewing deal and contract terms is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex commission structures, quota logic, and respond to salespeople's compensation inquiries.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Ops, Finance, and Payroll.
Manual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.
Stationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.
