Description
About the role Imagine designing the RF backbone of next generation digital radar systems that push the limits of performance, efficiency, and precision. As an RF Design Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced radar technologies where every design decision directly impacts system capability in the real world. You will take ownership of PCB-level RF circuit development using state of the art circuit and electromagnetic simulation tools, translating demanding system requirements into high-performance hardware solutions optimized for strict SWaP-C targets. Depending on your interests, the role can also expand into circuit and system modeling as well as system architecture definition, giving you the opportunity to shape not only the hardware itself but the future direction of the entire radar platform. At Destinus , we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations. What You´ll Do Design RF and analog circuits for receivers and transmitters using circuit and EM simulators Analyze concepts for IC implementation of PA, Mixer, Beamformer circuits Support the definition of requirements on system level Potential to expand into system simulation and modelling Requirements What You’ll Need Strong understanding of RF building blocks in RX and TX such as LNAs, PAs, mixers, antennas, filters, transmission lines RF and analog Circuit simulation Design and simulation of digital and clock signal paths Deep knowledge of RF PCB design, microstrip structures, matching networks, antennas Experience in IC design is a strong plus Good understanding of common RX and TX architectures Good understanding of common RX and TX performance metrics   Experience in 3D EM simulation Experience with MWO or ADS Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills   Who You Are You thrive in an environment where complex technical challenges turn into opportunities for innovation. You enjoy combining analytical thinking with hands-on engineering and are excited by the idea of developing high-performance RF systems that operate at the cutting edge of radar technology. You are detail-oriented, curious, and motivated by solving demanding design problems while working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Whether optimizing PCB layouts, selecting critical components, or exploring new system architectures, you take ownership of your work and continuously push for better performance, smarter solutions, and cleaner designs.
