The candidate may reside in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura but will primarily work at our Montecito job site, requiring daily travel.  What You Will Do Project Oversight: Provide on-site leadership and oversight for water, wastewater, and/or recycled water facilities. Ensure that construction activities align with project plans, specifications, and design intent. Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and enforce quality assurance measures to enforce specification requirements for workmanship and materials. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any deviations from contract documents. Engage with specialty subconsultants to perform special and material inspections. Client Interaction: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction. Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, expectations, and feedback throughout the project lifecycle. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and other team members to coordinate and execute project objectives. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment among project teams including owners, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Budget and Schedule Management: Review and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines. Assist in the management of project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Review contractor submitted monthly payment applications for completeness and accuracy. Verify materials on hand and incorporated into the work. Prepare estimates of cost, review change order requests, and facilitate cost effective resolution of construction or field issues. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges during the construction process and develop proactive strategies for mitigation. Address issues promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders. Generate regular reports summarizing project status, challenges, and resolutions. Manage the flow of information between the construction contractor and the engineer to assure timely responses to submittals and requests. What You Bring A passion for water, with an emphasis on creating multi-benefit solutions for communities and the environment. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certifications are highly
