In This Role You Will Be: Building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS “big data” technologies Designing, developing, and owning data pipelines and models that will power the internal analytics used for product and business teams Leading project within the operations team to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, upgrading systems, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability in the efforts to speed up business growth Removing roadblocks, like old systems and old thinking, so that the organization as a whole can keep running at full speed Identifying data needs for business and product teams by deeply understanding their specific requirements for data usage, like metrics and analysis, and building efficient and scalable solutions to enable effective data-driven decision making Collaborating in a cross-functional distributed team environment where your self-starting, natural desire to learn personality will thrive To Thrive In This Role You Will Need: BS in CS, or equivalent degree 3+ years experience with: Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with a variety of databases Proficient with programming languages JavaScript or Ruby Prior experience building and optimizing AWS “big data” technology pipelines, architectures, and data sets Prior experience answering specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement by performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: MS or PhD in CS, Data Science, or equivalent field Strong analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets Driven to make a lasting impact on a startup organization Total Compensation Package For This Role Includes: Gamified Compensation - Your Choice of Competitive Base Salary + Equity Options 100% Remote Environment Excellent Health Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision Unlimited PTO - 1-week Minimum!
