We go above and beyond to remove stress in all interactions and make things a little easier for all we serve.   The Recruiter will drive the hiring process from sourcing to onboarding, maintain critical recruiting trackers, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience. They will also ensure we uphold our reputation as an employer of choice by promoting TransWest’s values in every interaction. This role is critical in identifying top talent and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process.  This position is based at our corporate office in Seattle's SODO neighborhood and requires periodic travel to our Seattle, Everett, and Redmond locations. Compensation:   $32.00 - $36.00 / hour  Benefits:  Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance  401k with matching  Annual pay raises  Holiday pay  Paid Time Off up to 80 hours per year with increasing amounts based on your years of service  Responsibilities:  Source and attract high-quality candidates through online platforms, referrals, and direct outreach for transportation and support positions.  Review and screen resumes to assess qualifications and alignment with TransWest’s core values.  Conduct structured phone interviews to evaluate skills, motivation, reliability, and interpersonal fit.  Assess professionalism, communication style, and dependability to determine quality of candidate.  Coordinate interviews and ensure efficient communication and scheduling with the interviewer and candidate.  Schedule and track Driver Road Tests and manage associated follow-up.  Own and update all recruiting trackers, including:  Onboarding – monitor progress of each candidate through hiring steps  Interview Schedule – keep manager informed and interviews on track  Referral Program Tracker – document submissions and contact referrals in a timely manner  Upload candidates into Paycom HRIS, initiating onboarding steps and maintaining accuracy.  Manage all background checks (criminal, MVR, drug testing) by initiating, tracking, and ensuring timely completion of all screenings.  Ensure completion of compliance documentation, verify accuracy, and submit to the compliance department or proper storage system.  Extend offers to selected candidates with enthusiasm and clarity about the role, expectations, and benefits.  Guide new hires through onboarding and new hire paperwork, acting as their main point of contact up until new hire orientation.  Support new hire orientation and assist with initial onboarding activities.  Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, and Operations to ensure a seamless handoff from hire to start date.  Keep the applicant tracking system (ATS) updated, accurately recording statuses, notes, and reporting metrics.  Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline hiring and onboarding workflows.  Represent TransWest’s culture and values at every stage of the candidate journey.  Stay current on the company’s organizational structure, policies, and state and federal laws pertaining to fair employment practices.  Other duties as assigned.
